Game Analysis (Level II) Text Only Game Analysis II provides students with a detailed understanding of the game analysis tracking tool. Students collect data to understand the contributions of the energy systems to performance and apply their knowledge to develop training programs. The tool allows students to link core skills with movement patterns and to identify the links between skills and the event or game outcome. By identifying strengths and weaknesses, students can make tactical suggestions to improve performance.

The extension section expands on more advanced concepts such as player effectiveness and efficiency and the relationship between movement patterns and playing area. It also provides details on how the tool can be used to design a personal exercise program.

Software Tools - Further Details...

Game Analysis II includes a computer-based tracking tool that is used in time-motion analysis. It requires a laptop computer for data collection in the field. A mouse or a drawing tablet with a mouse pen can be used for tracking.

Measurements that can be made with time-motion analysis:
· Player movement patterns, including distance and speed
· The number and field location of game events, including core skills
· The duration (amount of time) of specific activities
